Last week on the blog we suggested that speculation concerning Mouton 2008's new label could spark the same sort of interest that we have seen in Lafite 2008. (The chateau is expected to commission a Chinese artist to design the 2008 vintage's label.) Yesterday, the wine traded at a new high of £6,370 per 12x75cl case – up from £4,770 on the 3rd of November(+33.5%). The vintage is currently bid on the exchange at £6,400. Meanwhile, Lafite 2008 is bid at £13,000 per case.
The graph below shows recent Mouton 2008 trades and is taken straight from the pages of Cellar Watch.
