Liv-ex has released the Fine Wine Power 100, a list of the top fine wine brands ranked by their 'power' in the marketplace. We expanded the list to 100 this year, from 50 previously, and also added the top vintage Champagnes and Ports. Each wine 'brand' is ranked on five criteria: the level of trade they attract on the Liv-ex Fine Wine Exchange; average score from Robert Parker; average price; one year price performance; and weighted production (price multiplied by average production). The wine brands are ranked on their aggregate score across the five criteria.
As you can see from the ranking below, this year's results are extremely interesting, with the top brand for the last two years, Lafite Rothschild, knocked off the top spot by DRC.
