Critical response

Jane Anson (Inside Bordeaux) awarded the wine a potentially perfect score of 98-100 points. She noted that it is ‘a wine to convince you of the quality and ripeness of Cabernet Sauvignon in Pauillac in the 2023 vintage’.

Writing for The Wine Advocate, Yohan Castaing scored the wine 96-98 points. The critic described the wine as having a ‘fresh bouquet of mulberries and cassis mingled with notions of violets, gentian and menthol’.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW (The Wine Independent) described the wine as having ‘notes of juicy blueberries, black cherries and blackcurrant jelly’, and awarded it 97-99 points.

By contrast, Neal Martin (Vinous) scored the wine 93-95 points but was complimentary in his tasting note, praising its ‘lovely linearity’ and calling it ‘very fine’.
